Helping Out: Find Baby Thor Wang

Do you know how many children go missing each year? According to various sources I've consulted, the number is over a million. A million... Let that sink in for a minute. Mind boggling & heartbreaking all at the same time, isn't it? Well, today I'm helping fellow blogger, Anna, spread the word about Thor Wang, a toddler who went missing back in February of this year.

For more information, go to Find Baby Thor Wang. If you can help, please do. It's a small step that could make a big difference.

If you want to read what Anna had to say about Thor, check out her post called What This Bond Means.

  1. I truly hope for Thor's sake that this gets resolved in a timely, positive manner. Whatever differences and pride, between Mia and Andrew, that are preventing this from happening have to be put aside. It is in Thor's best interest. He has to be put first.

    Peace - Rene

  2. Oh ho!!!
    Thanks for my blog feature...

    And about this story..
I am not surprised at the number...

Damn the people who take them...
Why do they do it in the first place!

  3. I think it would be amazing if every person with a blog posted the same picture at the same time for an extended period of time. And sent out a twit pic of the same picture, with the same info, at the same time every week. You get the idea. How powerful would that be?

  7. Thank you, JB, for blogging about this, you super star. I will pass your blog post on to those closest to Mia - I'm sure it's a tiny light in all the darkness for her to know that complete strangers care and want to help.

    BIG HUG!!

  9. these are indeed tragic numbers and evidence of just how corrupt we've become/are as a group/ a society. so tragic. But for every evil i take heart that there is good too.

nothing hurts me more than thinking of child abuse and domestic abuse. Tragedy all over. the worst part is how often these innocents end up inflicting the same horror on their own kids or others'.

there is a book called "sometimes God had a kid's face" by a Catholic priest and his outreaches through Convenant house to the homeless, abused kids on the streets of miami and how many of them were forced into prostitution by coercion, and drugs. Truly evil stuff and to think these "johns" could go there then go back to their own families with kids older than some of these.

The good thing is though it does highlight how such groups are helping adn just how mch people need to be loved unconditionally.

Thank you JB, for bringing such stories like this to our attention. Let's just hope this sweet lil boy ends up back his Mama's arms. Miracles do happen.

  10. I guess I won't be the only one searching for thor's wang from now on.

I think most of the missing children are taken during divorces, thankfully. Many of the rest, of course, are taken by ufos from the future into the past to start the human race. Humans have to come from somewhere, you know.

  13. It is insane at the number of babies and children in general that are abducted far too often. It is heartbreaking!!And I like the Panic Room's idea too!

  14. @everyone, I want to say thanks for supporting the search for Thor Wang. I hope that he is found, much sooner then later.

It's very sad that these things happen more often then we about know. If all of us, can pass the picture on, maybe we can make the differnce, in this little boys life. And maybe, just maybe, he and his mother can be together again. Thanks for all the comments it means alot to me.

I can't imagine, what it must be like to have your child taken from you, but if I can do my part then so be it. Lets all do are part, in this world to help those who need it most.

    Love
    JB
